Automation Anywhere – Robotic Process Automation Center of Excellence

About the Program

In pursuit of driving learning programs in the areas of emerging technologies, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has collaborated with Automation Anywhere, a global leader in Robotic Process Automation to launch certification programs. Under this collaboration, the institute has also set up “Bot Lab” – a centre of excellence to provide their students the access to Automation 360, world’s only Cloud Native, Web based platform for end-to-end automation.
The learning program for VIT students has been designed by a team of certified faculty members of the institute, coordinated by Prof. Vanmathi. The objective is to help the students to embark upon their RPA journey starting from process discovery to building basic bots. They will learn how business processes are evaluated and identified for automation and how building bots can help automate and solve time consuming and repetitive business processes. The students will be able to use recorders to capture actions and how you can use the various action packages available within Automation 360 to automate and solve complex, repetitive, time consuming business processes. As a next step, they will learn how to build resiliency within bots and reuse bots for scalability.

  • The learning programs will be offered to final and pre-final Undergraduate engineering students along with some Postgraduate students.
  • Learning will be reinforced through concepts and walk-through demos.

Expected learning outcome

  • Describe the scope and phases of the RPA Development Lifecycle
  • Describe the roles and responsibilities of the people involved, task performed and the best practices to be adopted
  • Automate tasks using the Automation 360 Universal Recorder, AISense, and action packages
  • Build resilient and scalable bots

About Robotic Process Automation

Robotic Process Automation is simple—and powerful—business process automation software. Robotic Process Automation enables you with tools to create your own software robots to automate any business process. Your "bots" are configurable software set up to perform the tasks you assign and control.
RPA really is for everyone. And the benefits of RPA span all industries and business units. Applying RPA for business process automation is limited only by the imagination and putting bots to work has never been easier, with a growing marketplace of ready-made, ready-to-deploy Digital Workers available on demand, requiring no specialized IT infrastructure.

About Automation Anywhere

Automation Anywhere is a global leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), empowering customers to automate end-to-end business processes with intelligent software bots – AI-powered digital workers that perform repetitive and manual tasks, resulting in dramatic productivity gains, optimized customer experience and more engaged employees. The company offers the world’s only cloud-native and web-based automation platform combining RPA, artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics, yielding significantly lower TCO, higher security, and faster scalability than legacy monolithic platforms. Its Bot Store is the world's first and largest marketplace with more than 1,200 pre-built, intelligent automation solutions. Automation Anywhere has deployed nearly 3 million bots to support some of the world’s largest enterprises across all industries in more than 90 countries.
